What we do with your details.
Plain answer: the details you send us are used to value your data and to talk to you. This page also covers the cookies and tracking this site runs, and how to turn them off.
What you send us.
Every valuation request lands in one inbox, so a person can read it and reply. We do not sell your contact details.
- Valuation formCompany name, website, your name, work email, phone number, year founded, employee count, what your company does, and the data sources you tick. The calculator pop-up asks a shorter version: name, phone, email, company.
- BookingIf you book a call, the time and any notes you add go to the calendar we use for scheduling. We only send you there after a form goes through.
- RepliesYour email address is set as the reply-to on the notification, so answers come back to you from a real person.
- Business dataNothing about your actual files is collected here. Data only ever moves later, under a licence you approve, and identifying details are removed from the copy a buyer receives.
What this site tracks.
We measure how the site performs and whether our ads bring the right businesses. That means one advertising pixel and a little browser information — no names, no company names, no phone numbers.
- RecipientMeta Platforms (Facebook and Instagram), the only advertising platform on this site. Outside the UK and Europe their pixel starts as soon as a page opens. In those places it waits until you accept the bar at the bottom of the screen.
- What it seesPages you visit, the ad or link you arrived from, and actions you take here — opening the calculator, asking for a valuation, booking a call. It also reads standard browser and device details, which include your IP address and so your approximate location.
- PurposesTwo, and only two: measuring whether ads and pages work, and letting Meta show our ads to businesses that behave like the ones who already asked for a valuation.
- CookiesThe pixel sets cookies on your browser for this. They belong to Meta, are read back on our pages, and expire on Meta's own schedule. Your accept or decline choice is saved on this device, so the site does not ask you twice.
- Not usedWe do not hand Meta your name, email or phone number, and we do not pass your company details into any tracking parameter.
Your choices.
You can stop the advertising measurement without losing anything on this site — the calculator and both forms keep working.
- Opt out with MetaMeta's own controls let you tell them not to use this site's data about you: ad settings, and their privacy policy covers the rest.
- Cookie settingsOnce you have chosen, a small "Cookie settings" button sits in the corner of every page. Open it to switch advertising measurement on or off — the change applies straight away, including in other tabs you already have open.
- Browser settingsBlocking third-party cookies, or clearing them after you leave, stops the pixel following you between sites.

Where it sits, and for how long.
Short answers to the two questions people always ask after reading a policy like this one.
- Kept forContact details stay while we are still talking about a possible deal, then get deleted. Ad-platform records follow Meta's own retention periods.
- WhereOur email service and calendar provider process what you send. Meta processes browsing activity, including outside the European Economic Area.
- ChangesIf this page changes, the date at the top moves and the new version applies from then on.
